Vietnam ST5 rice
- ST5 is rice varieties grown in the Mekong Delta region, most prominently in Tran De District, Soc Trang province with growing time about 115-120 days.
- ST5 varieties are long, white grain, not chalky, high protein rice typically half. ST5 slightly fragrant, sweet rice, soft plastic, cool fragrance remains stable, not dry.
ST5 rice is grown in 3 crops a year (February to April - Winter Spring, June to August - Summer Autumn and November to December – Autumn Winter).
The rice growing areas include Soc Trang, Bac Lieu and several other provinces in the Mekong Delta.
